A key corporate strategy of Glasgow 2014 Ltd is to provide a public facing website which supports all business area in the delivery of their objectives in an effective and efficient manner, and to engage people across Scotland and the rest of the Commonwealth, and raise the profile of the Games.
Glasgow 2014 Ltd proposes to appoint a Contractor to develop and maintain the new phase 2 of the site, which will be a more dynamic website and content management system (CMS) with enhanced technical capacity and functionality. The phase 2 web site will enable Glasgow 2014 Ltd's Digital Media team to deliver more content-related work in-house including dedicated microsites.
Phase 2 of the website will become more complex allowing Glasgow 2014 Ltd interact and transact with the public and stakeholders, such as potential employees or volunteers, ticket and merchandise purchasers. The site must continue to showcase the Glasgow 2014 Games and provide important information.
The phase 2 website should be scalable and able to support increased levels of traffic, as well as providing increased functionality and flexibility through the content management system.
